What is the standard tax deduction for medical expenses?

For 2017 or 2018?

For 2018, it's 7.5% of Adjusted Gross Income.

If you are a beginner, then seek help from a tax expert.

The limit remains at 7.5% of Adjusted Gross Income until Dec. 31, 2016 if you are married and only one of you is age 65 or older. But from Jan. 1, 2017, the 10% threshold will apply to all taxpayers, including those over 65.

It's 7.5% of your gross adjusted income.
But it will only be valid for this year.,,.. and is expected to see a rise back to 10% in 2019 and through!
