debt consolidation program reduces the total amount of the debt with my creditors. I am interested in knowing why will the creditors reduce the total amount and why will this program offer me lower monthly payments?

Statistics reveal that the creditors have a large amount of outstanding debt from the consumers and many more are defaulting on their payments. This way, they are losing tremendous amount of money. At this situation, if they don’t compromise, consumers have the available options to file bankruptcy. If it is done, they won’t be able to collect anything.
