I'm a Newbie Searching For Assistance

Now on to my situation. :(
I had 6 delinquent accounts that I had a local debt consolidation company handle. I've since decided to settle with one creditor on my own and that's going well, however, I left 4 of those accounts with the debt consolidation company. Now there's one account that I have to deal with due to the fact that the debt consolidation company told me they couldn't help me with it since the lone account I decided to deal with myself was from the same bank. According to them, since I removed the one account from their list, I'd have to remove the other as well. They would only accept the two accounts in combination.
Anyhow, I don't want the account in limbo to remain in limbo so I've decided that maybe I should go through another debt consolidation program for that ONE account. Do you think there will be a problem with that since I'll be using 2 debt consolidation companies, one to handle 4 accounts and the other to handle 1?
Any assistance is much appreciated. Thank you so much! Johnny from California

Johnny, this should not be a problem because you can work with any consolidation company for any specified accounts. It is up to you to decide which company should take care of your accounts. Your bank will find both the accounts being handled by one consolidation company only instead of two different companies.

Justme, thank you for the reply. However, I don't think I was very clear up above.
1 company will be handling 4 accounts, while the 2nd (I'm still looking around), will be handling 1 account. I'm doing this simply because the first consolidation company won't take that one account for the reasons stated up above. That should be ok though, right?
Also, I noticed that as soon as I made this change, the bank started harrassing me again for the first time in 6 months. Do you think they received some immediate report that I was no longer going to settle wtih them through the first debt consolidation company? I found it too coincidental.
Thanks for your assistance. Johnny

Johnny, this still isn't a problem. Your counselor will be proficient enough to get the best deal from the bank. I see you as a registered member here, so you will get a call back from the consultant shortly.
I don't think the bank is bent towards a particular debt consolidation company. They are interested in getting their money back at the earliest. They might have sensed the change and not receiving money from you. Inform them that your counselor will be calling them shortly for a payment arrangement.

Thank you both.
The only reason I had to remove the one account from the 1st company was because my ex-wife was on one of my credit cards and it was affecting her credit. She wanted it to be brought current immediately, so I contacted the credit card company and settled with them. I'm in good standing with them now. However, when I did this, the debt consolidation company told me that since I was removing that credit card from their list, I'd also have to remove the other account from their records, since they're both from the same bank and our initial agreement included both accounts from that creditor.
I'm now looking into finding another debt consolidator for the last account.
Now I just received an email from the 1st company saying that I no longer owed any fees after removing over 10,000 from their list. I'm going to call them right now to double check. It sounds too good to be true. I may be very well on my way to correcting my past mistakes. What a relief!
