I also receive a letter from United Legal Corp yesterday November 11. There is the round postmark circle on the envelope that says "Jacksonville FL" but that is it, NO DATE (how is that possible??). I opened it and the date of the letter is October 11, in other words, I received it Nov 11 and it's dated Oct 11. It seems this may be their way around giving me 30 days to send a validation. Says it's regardintg National Title Loans, I assume it's for a payday loan, maybe one from Ellis Crosby, although I don't recognize the name. I have a validation letter ready but since I can't get one to them certified in time given the date on their letter, should I fax it so I at least have a confirmation I sent something? I am trying to take the proper steps but it's hard to do when I receive a letter on Nov 11 dated Oct 11. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Sorry I meant to say I received the letter November 10th, not 11th

I will do my investigation here with the postal department and confirm the date of the letter sent. A letter should presumably not take so many days to reach the destination. It must be one of the shady tactics used by United Legal Corp.

You should send your debt validation letter to the company urging for complete information of the account. Send your letter through certified mail with return receipt requested.

All I can advice you is to be a little careful while dealing with United Legal. Lots of complaints are filed against them.

Roxette, thank you for your fast response, it's appreciated! So I should still send the certified letter even though they won't get it within the 30 days? Would you advise against faxing it just to have something in writing to them? Thanks again

Thanks, I will do both. I called the correct post office in Jacksonville and they said that while I can't prove they waited to send the letter because of the no postmark, they also can't prove when they sent it....she suggested I be firm with them if they argued with me about it, I have a feeling they have seen this kind of thing before. Thank you for the help!

United Legal did this to me as well, with the validation letter I sent them a copy of the letter and envelope showing I knew what they were up too. In addition, you can always ask for debt validation, even after the 30 day period

I receive mail all the time vromvarous sources which has not date stamp on it. Usually it is mail for which the sender has a bulk mailing permit rather than using metered mail or regular postage. It doesnt necessarily meant the mail was sent through "false" means, but as stated they also can not prove when they mailed the letter either.

I received a call from united legal, when I asked for written correspondence, i was told they sent one on May 11, to this day I still have not received anything. I can't get over how mean the woman that I talked to was.I have never felt like such a loser in my whole life.

Howdy, appreciate it. A new POV is definitely appreciated. I have been wanting to know if you read goals4profit as yet. Richard's guide on matched betting is astonishing. He is not fooling regarding the support, either. Each time I had a question, I would have a response within 24 hours (usually without delay). I've been earning profits routinely ever since I bought the book. The only way you wouldn't earn is if you don't work with what you learn. I mean it. Don't wait, there's money to be made .
