You might have judgment against you or the creditors keep telling you that a judgment has taken place. How can you find out if the said information is true or not?

It's very simple and accurate to know whether a judgment has really been filed against you. The best way to check it is to find it from your local clerk and recorders office and see if there has been any information recorded in your name.

However, an easy way to do it is by contacting the credit bureau. You can order for a credit report from Trans Union, Equifax and Experian.

Equifax Credit Reports
By delivery via US Mail only:
Equifax Credit Information Services, Inc.,
PO Box 740241, Atlanta, GA 30374
By Phone: 1 - 800 - 685 - 1111

Experian Credit Reports
By delivery via US Mail only:
National Consumer Assistance Center
PO Box 2002
Allen, TX 75013
By Phone: 1 - 888 397-3742, 1 - 800 - 680 - 7289

TransUnion
P.O. Box 2000
Chester, PA19022
By Phone: 1 - 800 - 888 - 4213

If in the recent times, you have been denied of credit, you can apply for a report and that should be free of cost.

chmartinbaby06, did you compare the credit reports from the three bureaus? If it is appearing on all the reports, then it seems to be valid. If not, you can write a letter to the credit bureau that is reporting it and file a dispute with them.

Also, checking at the local clerk and recorders office will be helpful.
