consolidation
It seems that most consolidation companies do not work with payday loans. I guess this is because they are usually difficult to find and generally unprofessional. You can deal with them yourself however. Most are operating illegally in one way or another. If you have been paying rollovers and interest you probaly owe them a lot less than you think. If anything. The first thing you should do is close your checking account and open a new one to stop the ACH withdrawals. Then prepare yourself to be threatened in all sorts of ways. They can do nothing to you that they say they can. There have been several people from Wisconsin on here lately with similar situations. If you do a searc above you should be able to find your state laws regarding Payday loans. They are usually bound by the laws in your state. Not theirs.

You will find the Payday loan laws for Wisconsin here (just select your state),

It appears that the laws regarding PDLs in Wisconsin do not have interest caps which could make it a little more difficult if the info I found is indeed correct.
Consolidat payday loans
Big Solutions Inc does. It is the one I am going through. You can find info about them on the BBB website

Before you decide working with any company, review their customer feedbacks with the state attorney general. You will be sure of working with the company that is reputed and has no unresolved complaints

Guest - I contacted Big Solutions and they will call back Monday as rhey were closed today for system upgrades. They seem to have no complaints and are members of the BBB. What else can you tell me about them? Were the PDL's willing to work with them? Have you had any problems?

js-what loan companies are you dealing with? How much did you originally borrow and how much have you paid back so far? Welcome to the forum by the way :) frogpatch has given you some very good advice already As far as consolidation, I know only of a couple places that do it but many times they do not do anything that you can't do on your own. I decided against using one and have been fighting the battle myself and have had a couple loans marked paid in full already as well as gotten a settlement from one other. If you decide consolidation is the right thing for you, I recommend that you check with several different companies to find out fees, procedures, etc. before you sign any contract. Before I found this site I was going to use one settlement company and pay them a lot of money but then I came here and found out that they had been ripping people off big time.

I also have a storefront loan but have worked out a settlement of 5 payments. No idea what to do on these internet ones though. They will not work anything out with me because I am not in default. I have tried MANY times. Can I write to them? What do I say? WI has no limits on these loans!

Sorry - I listed the company, principal now due, interest paid so far. And the Netcash should have been 300, not 30.

Ok, I have experience with 2 of those. CashnetUSA is generally licensed in all the states that it does business in so they operate like a storefront. I would advise closing your bank account and opening a new one at a different bank so you can have your paycheck to yourself then you can start working with these companies. It looks like you should have Cashnet paid off soon right? Call them and tell them you want to pay them off in a money order. They will not like it but they will take whatever you send them. Payday Select-you have way overpaid them and may be entitled to a refund. I recommend you contact them and they will deal with you. They are actually pretty easy to work with and communicate well by email. I am not familiar with Wisconsin's laws or the other 2 loan places but I am sure someone will come along shortly that can offer advice on WI laws and Netcash and Paycheck Now.

Thanks for the advice. I will try that. However I am not open to closing my bank account at all. I want to try this without having to do that. I changed banks a year ago. I like my bank and it has very convenient hours and locations. Cashnetusa is set to pay off on May 18. If I call about the money order do I still need to worry about them debiting my account?
Also - I just submitted a letter I had typed up to Payday Select
Also - I just submitted a letter I had typed up to Payday Select requesting I be paid in full. Will keep you posted on what has happened. What was your experience with them?

Actually, I got my paid in full letter from Payday OK 2 weeks ago and am waiting on Payday Select. They are the exact same company though. I think the hold up is that I have one person from the Attorney General's office working with Payday OK and one person working with Payday Select. I know that you don't want to close your bank account but just know that if you do most likely these places are not going to stop taking money out even if you tell them not to take anymore if you still owe them. If you really want to stay at your current bank, perhaps they will open you a new account and pray that these places do not get access to it. You could ask the bank to make it deposit only. Someone else may have something else to add to that but that has been my experience.

I noticed on the loan calculator on Payday Select's website that Wisconsin is not listed on their fee schedule. Does that mean that they are not licensed in WI? Can I use that against them to try and get a paid in full?
How do you find out if a payday lender is licensed to lend in your state?
