Honest and Reliable Debt Consolidation/Settlement Companies?

Hi everyone. I was wondering if I could get the names of some first class companies that help with debt consolidation/settlement? I don't have a lot of cc debt...probably less than $10,000 but I have tried to work with the companies in the past and they just refuse to be worked with. I guess when I signed up I was referred to Consumer credit counseling of America. Are they the real deal? I have made some phone calls to other companies and I didn't like what I was hearing so I just never officially signed up.

I have a small business. My personal take is that you have to consider the volume of business before judging any company. If there are only negative things about a company, they cannot be the right choice for you. But if you hear mixed feedbacks, you can have a 30 minute sitting with them and know their deal. See what they have to offer you on table. Shop with other companies also and look for their offers. Whatever fits to your situation, you can work with that company that suits to your requirements. I have heard mixed things about consumer credit counseling of America. You can only decide after talking with them and seeing the contract in paper. Having a small company, I know it's not easy to satisfy every single customer, but try to resolve the serious complaints.
