I called the 9 payday loans companies I have loans with and tried to work out a solution. They weren't interersted. Can you give me phone numbers of some companies that consolidte payday loans?

All of the payday loans are ones I got off of the internet. The companies include Cash Advance Now, Cash Advance USA, FSM Processing (aka RIO aka Ten Dollar Loan Co), Payday OK, Apple Payday, Onclick Cash, Cashnet500, National Money Store, Starlight, Aeroadvance and Instant Cash USA. Now do you see why I can't keep up; the renewal process alone is making me nuts.

In reading some of the other discussions among your memebers about closing the current banking account and replacing it with a new one, my only question is this: When I go to a local store and write a check and it is Telechecked, is it going to come back a Code 4 b/c one of these payday companies turned me over to them?

Some people have different views on how to handle the checking account situation. Some people try to work with the PDL's without closing their account. In my case I had about 8 PDL's in one of my checking account and 6 hitting another one of my accounts. When I talked to my counselor the first thing she told me to do is close the account or block the debits. I closed the one account, which I'm glad I did because one of the PDL's tried to make a paper check and pass it through the account and I just blocked the debits on the other. I saw the list of PDL's you listed and some of them are very hard to work with. Out of all the PDL's I had only 3 report me to teletrak and I have written several checks since then and I have not been rejected yet. (it could be I just got lucky and those places used a different check system). Now whatever decision you make in regards to your account, just make sure you keep communication with your PDL's so they don't think you are not trying to make an effort. Prepare letters to all of them and send certified mail, explaining your situation and that you are seeking credit counseling. State in the letter that you are revoking any further authorizations to debit your account. If you decide not to close your account, you will want to hurry up and send the letter out revoking the authorization and talk to your bank about how they would handle it if the PDL didn't follow the revoke.

That is defiantly an option, there are several consolidation companies out there that work with PDL's. A counselor will be calling you soon to discuss that with you. Some consolidation companies will leave it up to you on how you handle the checking account situation. Some members have tried to handle the PDL's without closing their accounts and they've had to deal with the PDL's debiting their account even after authorization was revoked or they agreed to payment arrangements. Usually if you revoke the authorization and they debit your account anyway you can dispute it with the bank and get the money back into your account.

I live in Texas. I closed my bank account yesterday and opened a new one. I'll be sending certified emails out to all of the pdl companies tomorrow.
I don't want to default; I just need help consoldidating them into one payment I can handle.

I got several emails from Curadebt Inc. Is that a company that you are referring me to in order to proceed with my pdl consolidation. I haven't spoken with anyone from your company even though I registered last Friday. I don't want to speak to Curadebt unless that is who you have determined I need to work with.

I'm sure that Polly and others will be a great help to you. I had a loan with Aeroadvance and I had no problem making payment arrangments with them. They were one of the easier ones in my opinion. Let me know if you need contact information for them because I have it saved in my e-mail. They let me mail my payments with a money order over a two month period. They even waved some additional finance fees and such. I've heard people have had an easy time with payday ok as well. I never had a loan with them myself. Oneclickcash is one that I am still fighting after several months. I over paid them per my state laws. Good luck.

Know more about the state laws where you live. If you have paid a large amount on the debt accounts, you are only liable to pay that much that your state allows. Do you see anything illegal done by the lenders on your checking account? That might help you in closing your account with stronger reasons.
