Gerald E. Moore contacted me about a valid credit card bill

Anyone dealt with Gerald E. Moore and Assoc.? They contacted me about a valid credit card bill. They coerced my banking info out of me then I called back and wanted validation. They said they would send it...but didn't. I stopped payment on everything they attempted to withdraw and eventually closed the account. I will send them a debt validation letter and also ask them to quit calling my work.

You can also send a cease and desist letter that only contact they have with you is through the mail,not work or home. Hope this helps...Karen

Thanks Karen! I will send letters immediately. I contacted the NM State Attorney General's Office and they ARE NOT licensed to do business in NM.

Nancy, is the company reporting in your credit report? They must have a legitimate purpose before reporting in your file. If their purpose is not identified, dispute the item with the credit bureau, they will check for the accuracy.

i have contacted the gerald e moore anmd assoc regarding a capitalone acct over due. i am having trouble getting a copy of the bill or a letter written with the amount oewed what the catch?
