I am a single mother of two teenagers and working two jobs to try and make ends meet. I recently had to move in with a friend so that I could try and get my debt paid off and it still is not working. I have thought about bankruptcy but than think about how my credit will look for the next ten years. I can't get a car, try to buy a house or even pay back what tuition I did get for school so that I can start back up. I am so hoping that DCC will be able to assist me in getting back on my feet and help fix my credit.

You are already aware about the consequences of filing bankruptcy. Only consider this when no other options sound helpful in your situation.

At this moment, do a thorough study on various debt management programs. If you can't afford the payments in the consolidation plan, settlement program can be a choice. The payments will be set affordable to your financial situation. Your counselor will negotiate with the lenders for a lower payment plan and waive off the extra fees. These programs will be only helpful to you in achieving a debt free life.
