Today, I had to get up early to take my mom for an EKG of her brain. I wasn't too happy about getting up early on my day off, but it's my mommy, so what could I do? :) So off I went.

Well, just before we got to the hospital, I got this awesome picture!!!! It's a rainbow, right over the hospital. It just brightened both of our days, so I thought I'd share it with everyone. :)

She'll get the results soon. Hopefully they can figure out what's going on. She has seizures occasionally, and they're trying to figure it all out..They can't find any reason why she should be having them. :-P

It was a fun day though. :) We went out and stuffed ourselves like pigs at Golden Corral. yumz

Jessi, both of my children have a multiple seizure disorder, one of them is not very well controlled, I can tell you from what I've learned that when you can not find a cause (ideopathic) that is actually a good thing, the other causes are not so good. It is frustrating when no cause is found but no news is good news when the outcome could be devastating. I know having seizures is devastating. What type does she have?

She just started with a new dr, so hopefully this one will be able to figure it out..It's the first time she's done the EEG, so maybe that will help. I've got a real good picture of her all hooked up to the wires..I'll try to load it up here later...She looks hilarious...lol

my oldest has grand mal, myoclonic, tonic clonic, and complex partial My youngest has myoclonic, grand mal, and a new one which started last year which comes in the form of a sudden onset of a piercing migraine that lasts several minutes then goes away as quick as it came but leaves him with double vision for the rest of the day. There are so many forms these seizures can show themselves, I was shocked when they said his migraines were seizures. It's hard to watch a family member or anyone for that matter go through that and what's worse is there is nothing you can do to stop them.

She's very strong, Amy. :)

Mishele--I just told her I'm going to post a pic of her on here. She said, "Go ahead, I have the one of you **** with a towel on your head on your first day of kindergarten."

Here's her all hooked up like Frankenstein.

I would be angry..I hate for people to see me all exposed..I'm kinda up-tight sometimes. I went into work on Saturday for a bit, and I wore low rider jeans that were a little too big, and the top of my bright yellow undies showed. A guy told me my bloomers were showing, and I was humiliated! I don't even want to look at him now.

Oh yeah!! The original perm machines.... When I was in cosmetology school they showed those to us. Scary...It's basically curling irons attached to your head...They'd apply solution and then it would basically burn the curl into your hair...They did that before they came up with the current, "Cold Wave" Ammonium Thioglycolate system.

I tried to do my own highlights once. I ended up having to dye over it, and I had really dark hair for awhile. I looked terrible.

Remember curl n go shampoo? I bought that stuff when I was 14 because I thought if I washed my hair with it then it would be curly. My mom tried to talk me out of it, but I had to try!

Silly silly silly. Maybe they also need thicker glasses so they can see what they're doing.

When I was in high school, there was this girlk whose hair curled tightly naturally, her hair couldn't get long, only big. She looked just like Aunt Patty from the Simpsons, and I thought to myself, if my hair grew like that, I'd rather just shave it and be bald.
