Do you have any fine prints from these lenders? Wage assignment clause should be clearly mentioned in the contract if they are going to do this in case of a default.

Ok, nothing to worry. These companies must have a legal business in your state. Please check with your state regulator's office about these companies. You should also be aware about the legal fees and interests allowed in your state. You are not required to pay more than your state laws. How much is the loan amount you have from them and what state you are in?

Inform your state regulator and the attorney general about these companies because it is necessary that all loan companies should have a valid license before lending money to people. Be aware about your state laws because you are supposed to pay the legal charges only, not what they say. Since none of them is licensed in your state, you already have a case against them.

There is a certain protocol that must be followed in order for the wage assignment to be legal in the first place..I'm willing to bet the one they're using doesn't follow that protocol.
