Hi again !
Well I have many reports on Allen,Lewisand they have a bad track record with the BBB in Fl.
Also, after settling down and going over my written paper notes (from the collector)I discovered that IF I go ahead with my payments (deducted fron bank)that what she told me was my monthly payments for 11 months, the total was MORE than she stated to me as my total debt to pay back !!
I called the original party whom we had the account with (music items)today, and he hasn't responded as yet.Since I was stated incorrect things from the collection agency, threatened with being charged with "stolen property" and so on,not to mention that as yet,a week now - I've still not recieved any paperwork at all from the agency,
Now I want to cancel the auto deduct from my bank that I set up for payments,as I feel I have been wronged and lied to bt this co. How do I go about this, anyone know ??I really need help with this -- I want to pay off this bill, but don't trust this co any further than I can throw them !
Oh my,if I had only known about this site and the laws and so on BEFORE :-(
Please advise if possible
TTHANKS SO MUCH !

Thank god, you became alert in the right time and before sending money to a company that has not proven yet about their authorization to collect the debt. The collector should have sent you the debt details in writing. As you haven't received anything in the mail yet, send one debt validation letter. Send it through US certified mail and return receipt requested. You will cover your side legally. This will prove your payment responsibilities and sending it to the one authorized for it. Meanwhile, try to get the details from the original company and possibly make arrangements with them.

Thank you for your reply.I called the original creditor today, but no response as yet.In the mean time I need to know a way to undo the bank auto deduct and a cease and desist letter ? to send them ? I did see a sample one on this site, but was unable to read all of it,as part was hidden. Also, where can I find a validation letter? Mainly I am concerned about the auto deduct,we are both disabled and on SS and have little income and all of this is threating my husband's health (who is a heart patient)Please someone advise me as to what to do.If I could afford an attorney,I'd do that, but we can't.So sorry for the long post, but I am so upset and worried and at my wits end!

Thanks!

Lynn
