how do you stop harrasing phone calls?

We keep getting phone calls from ER Solutions. There is only an automated voicemail. It says that my husband owes them money. There is always and 800 number after the threatening call. We have called it, left messages, but no one ever calls back re: what debt? We don't owe anyone except our house payment, and one little Visa!

How can we make them STOP???? !!!!!!

Call them back, ask for their address, and send a debt validation letter and cease and desist. Also, pull your credit reports and make sure it's not listed.

Find the sample cease and desist letter here. Send it through US certified mail and return receipt requested. You will have proof with the dates when it was sent to the company. This will help you in getting some proof in case a dispute arises later.

I get the same one occassionally it is for my ex's debt and the robot guy is an a$$, they just say to call back and when you do no one is there to take your call, this is on my work phone.......yuck!
