Ok, I took out 3 payday loans this past year, I've had to close my bank acct because of them. I've paid off 2 and have 1 left called webpayday. I had one payment left w/ them when I lost my debit card and had to get another. I never bothered to contact and tell them this, now I'm getting harrassing phone calls from this woman who wont leave me alone even when I tell her not to call me at work. She calls I hang up on her and she calls right back! When I pick up she goes "payroll please". She says she's going to keep calling all day everyday on the hour if she has too. Can she go to payroll and force me to pay off this 65.00. I'm barely catching up on rent because of these loans. I've paid off waaaaay more to them than I orginally owed. By the time they took money from my acct, I barely had half a paycheck left!. I'm just trying to catch up on my bills then pay this webpay. They even faxed me at work! I was livid!

Hi, welcome to the site.

Congratulations on taking care of all those loans, I know it feels great. You only owe $65? Then you're done? Call them and tell them what's going on, I really don't think they'll harass you too much over it. Sounds like someone was looking for something to do..Just communicate, and they're easier to deal with

Hi and than you finsfan, I would call them back ,but in no way am I going to deal w/ the same rep. She was unbelievable! Everyone in the morning is staring at me hang up on this person call after call. Pretty emberassing eventhough they didnt know whom I was speaking w/. I'd rather communicate in writting. I just need an adress for them to send payments and not my acct number. I would split payment.

Send them a certified letter with return receipt requested stating that you can no longer accept these type of phone calls at your place of employment. With the return receipt, you will have proof that they received the letter and someone actually signed for it. Congratulations on your progress thus far :-)

Tell Them to Stop
Few consumers know that under the fdcpa, you have the right to tell a collection agency employee to bug off. Simply send a letter stating that you want the collection agency to cease all communications with you. All agency employees are then prohibited from contacting you, except to tell you that collection efforts have ended or that the collection agency or original creditor may sue you.
debt collectors, however, are notorious for breaking the law????????contacting people who have sent a cease-contact letter, or violating other provisions of the FDCPA so Document Illegal Behavior
To get results, you need proof of the illegal behavior. If phone calls from someone from a collection agency violate the law, try to tape the next harassing phone call you get. In most states, you can tape a conversation without telling the other party, as long as you are a party to the conversation. That's because the law allows you to record any conversation in which at least one party consents to the taping, and you can be the one who consents.

The FTC works for the consumer to prevent fraudulent, deceptive and unfair business practices in the marketplace and to provide information to help consumers spot, stop and avoid them. To file a complaint or get free information on consumer issues, call toll-free, 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357), or use the complaint form at www.ftc.gov

I just notices I made an error in my orinal posting. I meant to say everyone in the office was staring at me tell this person not to call me at work. Probably thought it was my daughter's father lol. Anyway, I ddi call the ftc and filed a complaint, but I didn't have the phone # for them to put in the complaint. The rep hasn't called me since last Wednesday thank goodness. I'm just ready for her so called legal proceedings like she claims.

Another thing I forgot to mention is that the fax number wich they faxed me from has a philadelphia area code, but they list their physical address in NM. I have it if anyone needs it.

I mentioned this in another post, but Webpayday and Arrowhead Investments are the same company. I just noticed the address that finsfan 13 had posted for Webpayday and I have the exact same address for Arrowhead:
Arrowhead Investments, Inc.
32 West 200 South, Suite 350
Salt Lake City, UT 84101

It's hard to keep up with these lenders and all of their dba's
