When I was 19, I got a couple credit cards, all was well till my stepfather got sick and My mother and I took care of him he was the main source of our income. I then became the primary bread winner, although my mother was able to hold down a partime job and take care of him fulltime. It wasn't enough to pull us out of debt. All of our credit suffered. In the year 2001, I lost my job to a mass lay off at my work due to the fallout of 9-11. I was on unemployment for 6 months. My stepfather went into remission for a couple of years, I got a good job, it looked like we were able to get our situation back. But last spring he passed away. I worked for an outsource of Cox Communications and they lost the Cox account and laid everyone off 2005. I then got a job at Public Storage as a manager, I have been there 16 months and counting. My mother ended up doing Chapter 13 because of all the medical and funeral costs, and I don't want to go that direction, I want to bring my credit back. I currently have 3 payday loans that are eating me alive. They were necessary to go forward after all the debt. We are on our feet, but I want to go forward so I can buy a house. Please Concider this request I am not a bad risk. Thank You.

Reguards,
Shauna

welsome SSlaback, Please keep posting as I know many will have great advice for you here. First off if you are looking for a personal loan I would advise againt it, you do not need to accrue anymore unsecured debt. As for you PDL, are they storefront or Internet, what state are you from? As for debt try and not get overwhelmed by it, look at today and not tomorrow. You can only take one step at a time. If need be take on several jobs to pay off the debt but do not acquire more debt to pay off old debt. Good luck and keep posting

Good to meet you! I really respect what you did, confidently taking over the household, even if it didn't totally work out I still think you rock for taking your best shot, your mom too. You really shouldn't feel like a fool, you should be proud! You'll be rid of those payday loand before you know it and you will get the house you deserve!
