I understand that a company cannot call an individual at home on Sundays in Ontario, Canada, regarding an outstanding debt? Is this correct?

Can someone help?

Well, the way I just read what you quoted, goudah, it doesn't even state specific days (such as not Sunday). So the way this reads, it's like they can call from 8:00am - 9:00pm any day of the year. At least that what it reads like to me.

I think this is a contradiction they cant call on Sunday, but can call between the hours 1-5pm on Sunday.
I could say something Bibical but best not to.

I LOST IT and hung up on her. right now cant stop crying and my heart is racing so fast . Please dont anybody deal with these people

lynn, FYI is right. Please don't answer their calls any longer. All they are doing is upsetting you. I hate to see you this way. It is upsetting to be called and taken off guard. Please try not to take their calls any more if you can help it. I am so sorry you're going through this.

Nothing to be sorry for Lynn!1 The only way you learn is to ask questions!! I asked them over and over when I first came here, thank God for all the kind, patient people that were here to help!

Even if you set up payment plans with them, they will still call until the debt is paid. I don't answer from the last one of mine that is collecting-it upsets me, and we are already making regular monthly paymnets, so there is no need to speak with them..Good Luck..Karen :D
