Calling on a Sunday

Well, the way I just read what you quoted, goudah, it doesn't even state specific days (such as not Sunday). So the way this reads, it's like they can call from 8:00am - 9:00pm any day of the year. At least that what it reads like to me. :roll:

Right . . . . That's how I read it too.

I did find some info saying that in Ontario, Canada they cannot call on Sundays, except between the hours of 1pm and 5pm, and on holidays.

I think this is a contradiction they cant call on Sunday, but can call between the hours 1-5pm on Sunday.
I could say something Bibical but best not to.

Well folks here I am again, I am 11 days late with my payment. I phoned Wells Fargo Customer service on Tuesday the 9th day of October to talk about the Sunday call and to tell them I would catch up by November 1 2007. tonight at 5:00 pm I was called again by one of their reps. I LOST IT and hung up on her. right now cant stop crying and my heart is racing so fast . Please dont anybody deal with these people

Its okay Lynn..just calm down, take a few deep breaths. :) I am sorry to hear you are upset...Unfortunately Most places will continue to call until the payment is made...

I don't know if you can send a C&D to the creditor. They will likely continue to call a few more times until it's taken care of. Do you have caller id? If so then don't pick up the phone.

lynn, FYI is right. Please don't answer their calls any longer. All they are doing is upsetting you. I hate to see you this way. It is upsetting to be called and taken off guard. Please try not to take their calls any more if you can help it. I am so sorry you're going through this.

It's not a contradiction. In the US they can call.

That is for Canada that they can only call between 1pm and 5pm.

Even if you set up payment plans with them, they will still call until the debt is paid. I don't answer from the last one of mine that is collecting-it upsets me, and we are already making regular monthly paymnets, so there is no need to speak with them..Good Luck..Karen :D

a debt collector is teling you not to answer phone so everyone should never answer phone from any debt collector is the advice from experts on this sight dont answer phone ever unless you know who is calling and you wont have problems with them harasing you
