In September 2005, I filed Bankruptcy. Do til losing my job of 15 years and health problems.I received a phone call[today] on the answering machine saying to call as soon as possible very important. The number is
800-900-1380

On my credit report there is listed "LVNV Funding
LLC". I have no idea who this company is.It reads that the account is Open. I know I have No account with them..

Can anyone tell me who this phone number belongs
to? Also who is "lvnv funding llc"?

This is an outside CA agency. They bought an old debt of yours from an original creditor. Since you have filed bankruptcy, I would contact your attorney with this info. Because if they bought one of your debts which was listed in your bankruptcy, it is illegal for them to try and collect on it. This is a CA that has a very bad reputation and will buy debts discharged in bankruptices. I would get in contact with your attorney regarding this matter as it is illegal for LVNV Funding to try and collect.

I also filed bk 2 years ago, from time to time a collection agency will call - for the most part, they don't even know you filed, but there some who will try to pull the wool over your eyes, just give them your case # and attorney name, address and phone number. They will leave you alone
