I received a judgement against me from court where Palisades took me to court but never notified me. A judgement was filed against me for not showing up for court. I filed an appeal, but it was denied. Palisades lied and said that they had me served, but they didn't. Now the court has ruled against me. Is there anything else that I can do?

Consult a lawyer. But for now you can write a certified notorized letter requesting the documentation for all signatures made by you and all correspondance.

Make sure you write it in a professional way like this

Date

Your address

Name
Address of the person your sending it too

In regards to:

Dear Mr Or Mrs etc:

Body

SIncerely

Your name

By requesting this you should of gotten a certified or something from the delivery party stating the date delivery the serve. If it was made by the sherif department they usual just leave it in a secure place at the residence. However if it was sent by mail it should of been sent certified with your signature, no one else can sign it or it is voided.

I don't know who was suppose to have delivered it, but they said it was hand delivered and when they requested a signature someone refused to give their name. I am at work all day and my daughter is in school and she comes to my job after school every day. There was nobody there who could have refused to sign or receive anything.

Send the letter anyways so you can get all correspondance between you and them. Be stern but nice. Tell them they made fraduelant claims against you and you are trying to clear up this miss understanding. They have to send you everything by law. Also they might of misdelivered. It was probally delivered by the sherifs department.

The reason why your appeal was denied is because you didn't have supporting documents stating it wasn't sent to you.

Basically the letter should look somthing like this:

November 10, 2006

(your address)
(your city, state and zip code)

Person handling your account
Department
The companies name
Companies adress
The compaines city, state, and zip code

IN Regards to: the account number with Palisides and what it is

Dear (mr. mrs. ms. so and so)

I am writing this letter today in order to request all correspondance and signatures up to (the current date) on the account in reference.

On (the date of court), your company stated they sent me a letter stating the court date in which I had not received. I believe you are making fraduelent claims on my behalf and I would like to get this resolve ASAP. Please forward all information, correspondance, and any signatures on file you have to:

Your name
Address
City, State, Zip Code.

I want to thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward in hearing from you.

Sincerely

Your name

(make sure you send this notorized and certified. On the certification you check the box that the person you have listed can only sign for this and it is confidential information on the envelope.)
