Most teletrack items are removed once they are paid. If you've settled with them I would call teletrack and see what the dispute process is. If you have proof your account is marked PIF I'd send that to them with a demand for the item to be removed. It's much easier to get off teletrack then chexsystems.

I'm sorry, I'm getting teletrack and telecheck confused. Teletrack is a sub prime loan and payday loan reporting agency, and telecheck is a bad check reporting agency. I'm not sure how you'd get off teletrack . . . .

Negative information reported with Teletrack cannot be removed before five years. Only incorrect items will be removed after you put it on dispute.

But I wouldn't think of it as a terrible thing. Only sub prime lenders use this service, so all it really does is keep you from getting approved for more payday loans and really high interest lenders.

The only thing that I have on there is a loan from QuikPayday. I understand that they are no longer doing loans period, so I am gonna try to get them to just mark my acct. paid in full, since they are illegal in my state anyway.. Do you think I might have a good chance??

Other companies that utilize the Teletrack database are rent-to-own shops, blue hippo type businesses, some finance plazas (auto)and apartment complexes. All of these companies look at different things so it is unlikely that failure to repay a payday loan would affect your chances of renting an apartment, however, it may affect your chances of getting approved for a new computer through Blue Hippo. Who really knows for sure?

I've even been told that if someone applies for a payday loan and they are denied, it still goes on your teletrack report as an inquiry.

That is absolutely correct, but companies who use the Teletrack service are generally concerned with recent inquiries only (in the last 30 days). If a person is not applying for payday loans, then inquiries would not be an issue.

Why are you wanting to get yourself into this payday cycle? From experience, it will cause you nothing but headaches. It sounds like an easy, quick fix, but in the long run, it is going to hurt you. When those payments start coming out of your account and you find your paycheck does not cover everything you need to pay, you will really feel the pain. My advice to you is not to take any more payday loans out and return any money that you have already received and try to come up with another way of making ends meet because if you can't make them now, you definilty are not going to make them meet when those loans start coming out.

sunshine, I will agree with 2nband when I say please don't get another payday loan if you can help it. One leads to two, two leads to four, four leads to eight. Next thing you know, your whole paycheck is going to these places. -- and then you'll be posting how do I get rid of them?
To answer the question, it depends on the store and state laws. Mostly state laws, because the stores really don't care if you can afford it or not. Some states say you can only have 1 open payday loan at a time. If that is the case, then the pdl store would be prhibited from giving you another loan.
