Ok everyone, lets put a lighter light on these King of Lies (a.k.a.- PDL's). Give me the worst threat given to you by a PDL to obtain a debt from YOU (don't let me about ones you've heard of, we all have those friends of friends of friends and we know how reliable those are!). This will also give everyone an understanding of what these fools will say just to get what they want. Moderators- feel free to come back and reply to these threats and explain how they are lying to the person. Lets see what we get!

Mrs. Castillo, your account stands. Your account has been forward over to our legal department. You????????re emailing me for nothing. This account will not go away. Have you sent the 100.00 western union payment?

Good,

please let them know that i'm aware of my state laws, have a file a complaint with the BBB and my AG's office these things take time but eventually get resolved, please keep in mind i revoked your company or any affiliates from debiting my account, my bank is also aware of this information.

All i'm asking is for my account to be marked paid in full, if this matter continues i will persue a refund on the amount i've over paid and for harrasment.

Please note also let you "Legal Department" know this agreement falls under "Loan Sharking" here is a few things I received from the FBI in regards to this matter:

For loan sharking to occur these four factors must be present:
1. Terms are NOT legally recorded (Sound like Nationwide/Ambassador?)
2. Extremely high interest rate, which means interest
rate exceeds 45%
3. Use of THREATS/VIOLENCE to collect on the loan
4. The loan fees exceed $100

Punishment: UP TO 20 YEARS IMPRISONMENT

Your company is in violation of Massachusetts (Legal Status: Prohibited Citation: Small loan act applies. Mass. Gen. Laws Ann. ch. 140 ???? 96 et seq.;209 Mass. Code Regs. ???? 26.01. Check cashers are specifically prohibited from making loans unless licensed under the small loan act. 209 Mass. Code Regs. ???? 45:14(8). Small Loan Rate Cap
23% plus $20 administrative fee upon the granting of a loan.)

Thank You,

rmalcolm-dont fret so much, I was the same way, do as these guys are saying, if they start pushing, start pushing back harder. Read the forums and learn your rights, when they make threats let them know that they are breaking the law, drowningindebt sent an AWESOME response to those guys. If you need help responding to an email come here first and ask for help. Anyone will be glad to help you pull resources and give a good legal response that shuts them up. Their theory is to stir up enough trouble so you pay them, but they can't make you pay them. You can make enough trouble for them and they HAVE to stop contacting you. They WILL give up.
