Debt Consolidation

My husband is out of work but hopefully going back sin the next 2 weeks. We have a 2 yr arm mortgage that is up in May. We are considering debt consolidation but not sure how it will affect re-financing the house in May. With my husbands job he will possible be getting a company car and we will no longer need the truck he bought a year ago. Not sure how else to get out of it other than to let it go. Any experience with this would be greatly appreciated.

I do know that some debt consolidation programs do not report to the credit bureaus, so you might be okay as far as trying to refinance. As for the truck, would trying to sell it get you enough to pay it off?
These are definitely questions to discuss with the debt counselor so that you can be sure of accurate info.
