Most more than likely, if your original creditor turned your account over to a collection agency, then they have all of your info.
They probably won't tell you. They have resources they can use

If they have some of your references on file, they might have called your refs and came up with a story to coax your phone # out of them.
They might have called some of your other creditors listed on the credit report and "shared" information.
They're sneaky, and good at finding new info on people.
