The company should have deposited the check when it was fixed. You should call the company and ask the reason for not depositing it on the specified date.
If they plan another date, make sure that you have money in your account on that date. It should be convenient to you.

It could take up to 7 business days for a check to clear your account. As long as thay don't send it through before the assigned date it could hit from now up until 30 days or whenever. Either way, why would you be afraid that a check would bounce.. didn't you keep the money your promised avaliable?
The easiest way to not bounce checks when paying bills this way is to just forget entirely about the money in there until the check clears. Subtract it from your record book and treat it like it isn't there.
If it does bounce it will give URS the opportunity to voild your settlement offer, if they choose to do so, and pursue collections of the balance in full.
My suggestion would be to get the money in the bank ASAP if it all isn't there.

Maryc if no one their explained it to you urs does not do electronic withdrawal--when they take a chk it is entered in the computer and the date you gave your represenative is the day the posting office reprints a generic copy of the chk and mails it to your bank depending on where you are from houston tx which is hwere they posting office is located it could take a week or poss more especially if around holidays...you need to make sure the funds are avilable...as fyi said they can possibly null and void the settlement agreement and pursue bal
