First off - you did a great idea. Don't blame yourself because you life changed. You were right and honorable to work out the plans.
First question: Have you called the creditors back and explained how your life will change financially? Be proactive as you were before and you may be surprised how things will work out. If they were easy to work with before, you may have some luck altering your plan, especially if you have been meeting your obligation. Showing that you honored your original agreement may help in reworking it.
Since you have registered, you will be contacted about your current situation so they can understand where you are now and where you can go. Aricka, we have all been there. Just hang in there, try to stay level headed, and you will get through it.

Good to hear you have other offers in the wings. But you are smart to think ahead. If anything, just a call to the creditors to ask about renegociating your plans wouldn't hurt. Be prepared. And when the awesome job offer comes in, just keep paying at your current plan if you are able.

Creditors are easy to deal with and if your file is with them. When you have the arrangements done, tell them that you are being contacted by the collection agency for the said debt. They will notify the CA and not to call you further.
