I need help with gfsil payday loan company

I obtained a pday laon from gfsil, my plan was to pay the laon off in 2 weeks, however they have been debiting my acct every week. They even debited my account early (not authorized) there excuse was that it was because of a holliday. Needless to say the debit beat my check to the bank. I called them and they stated they would not charge me a return fee and give a discount. However, they tried to debit my acct 3 times in one week. I went to my bank and explained the situation. My bank advised that these companies go by sev names. So the bank froze the account and opened me another. I called gfsil and asked for info inorder to send a cashiers check or moneygram etc. I was told this company does not accept any payment other than auto debit from an account. Fisrt of all i'd be a fool to give them account info. I want to pay this however they wont take anyother form of pmt. I explained that i did not have an acct. I was told by the gfsil rep that if i did not give them acct info for this debit that i would continue to rec attempted debits and be charged a return fee each time.as well as contact my emplyeer and play the recorded application call in which i said according to them, that i authorized them to contaact my employeer to collect this debit.. What can i do? I want to pay it. But i'm afraid if i give them acct info, they'll overcharge me like before.. Help!!!!


Wanda, Welcome to the forums. NEVER NEVER NEVER give these people your new account information. They can take a money order thats the only way. Also what state are you in? KYSIDE38

i am in tennessee, gfsil said they do not accept money orders or cashiers checks, money grams etc. they are located i have rec found out in the UK. they are threatening to call my boss etc. im at witts end

Wanda, They probably will call your boss. This is one dirty company. Please do not panic and give them your new account number. If they want their money they will take it money order. They always try to pull this crap. KYSIDE38. How much have you paid them so far interest and all

There are many horror stories about GFSIL here. You will be inviting troubles if you give them the new account info. I think you should ask your bank to dispute the debits done by GFSIL. You will get proof of the unauthorized and multiple debits done by them and make a claim for refund. See this link

Hi Wanda, I am in Tennessee also. I can help you with this company but the first thing I need you to do is close your bank account TODAY! Give your bank any stupid reason why you are closing your account (ie it was compromised online or phished) Anyhow is this the only payday loan you have out? Send me a private Message and I will be glad to help you. Visit my blog as I attempt to get these people shut down in TN. I am working with 2 other ladies here in TN to get their payday loans cleared up also. So send me a PM from this site or go to my blog and send me an email with your information. Take a deep breath and I promise it will be ok. You need to get your acct close ASAP and not give out the new information. I look forward to working with you.
