I closed my checking account on November 15th, the day before Cash Transfer was scheduled to withdraw $1270.00 from my checking account. I began receiving phone calls from CTC at home and at work, and my sister and friend were called. I e-mailed Polly's letter to them, and two times I faxed the letter to all of the fax numbers I had for them. I also filed a complaint with the Maryland Attorney General's Office. Then I contacted the payroll department of the company I work for. They told me that CTC has not contacted them. Since I faxed the letters, I have not received any more calls from CTC. Can it really be this easy?

No CTC will not be that easy, but not as hard as others. Since you have taken all those step already, they will probably send your account to a collection agency or after hearing from your State's AG, they may mark the account PIF. I dealt with them earlier this year and the collection agency is not licensed to collect in my state. A fact which I pointed out to them, CTC and the State's AG office. FYI NC prohibits payday loans also
