luis, the card was probably charged off by the credit card company. You can contact the company and see what stage the process is at and if they are willing to make settlement arrangements.

You can contact the company to see if they are willing to set up payment arrangements, it could be that it was charged off like bdouble said. I doubt this would cause you problems with customs, if not paying on a cc were a problem, there would be an awful lot of American citizens having difficulty re-entering the country. It isn't a crime, you should be fine.
