It is the quite before the storm. They dont give up. Payday lending is legal in Ohio. However the business needs to be licensed in your state. File complaints with your Attorney General also pay the principal and your state laws to keep yourself covered. If you have done that nothing more. KYSIDE38

It is the quiet before the storm. What you need to do is write down each company you are dealing with, how much you borrowed, how much you have paid so that when they do start calling again you will have those notes in front of you. Make sure you pay the principle back along with the legal amount of interest/charges your state allows. Good luck and keep posting

I have notified my attorney general. Most of them are not legal in Ohio and I have way overpaid. I am more than willing to make payments, but most of them want the balance in full or nothing and will not do anything but moneygram and then when I ask why the name is different that I am sending my payment to they have no explanation. This does not make sense. They also will not give me anything in writing, as to the agreement. Most of them have several addresses. My attorney General's office even has one listed as a predatory lender.

poohmolly - if you never hear from them again, count yourself lucky! They are relentless in pursuing the money they think they are due.

Poohmolly, you have filed complaints with the AGs office and you have overpaid them, the AG acts on these complaints ASAP and contacts these ipdls individually, I would have to say that they have been contacted and their business practice questioned due to their illegal charges and operating without a license. Once the OH AGs office contacted my ipdls which I overpaid, I never heard from them again. You are going to be ok! :D
