Hi sasundance, welcome to the boards, someone whould be calling you soon to discuss your debt issues. Anyhow you might want to look at the following thread CACH LLC in regards to your inquiry. good luck and keep posting

One thing to consider is how much you owe on the debt. Asking your creditors to give you time, and making even the smallest bit of a payment may keep you out of trouble. Remember, when you have no money, they get no money. But also consider this, if you owe $10,000 on an AmEx card, and have $30,000 of equity invested in your home, the judge could take that away.
What is the exact nature of their threats? Also what state do you live in? Are you capable of getting your calls recorded? If you have 3-way, this site provides a feature that will allow you to record calls. You can simply call up a number and then switch back over. Gaining any type of evidence that proves they are breaking the law could actually land the ball in your court.
Please stick around in the forums, and also let us know on the outcome of this. We're all here to help!

Mike
