I had a loan with cashnetusa and i had missed a loan due to my purse was lost and had to get everything replaced and now after paying renewal fees on time and trying to make arrangements they said i owe 608.00 I told them i am willing to pay only the principal and my state guidelines state no interest or fees in excess of 75% of loan. They said that they don't go by those guidlines

CashNetUSA or any other loan company licensed in your state has to follow the laws mentioned in your state. Have you checked with your Dept of Corporation if the lender is doing business with a valid license?

Report them to your state AG if they are trying to make illegal charges and falsify the contract. They will come under investigation and you will be able to pay as per the laws allowed in your state. Let them know that you are filing the complaints very soon.

Cashnetusa, knock on wood, has not harassed me nor have they treated me bad. You must have gotten a hold of someone who wasn't a good person because everyone at Cashnetusa I have dealt with have been very polite with me. I would recommend that you contact them again and ask to speak to a manager. Maybe that person will be able to help you.

If they are telling you that they don't have to follow your state guidelines, then they are lying to you. If they are not licensed to do business in your state, you should contact your Attorney General's office immmediately and explain to them what's going on. Stay on top this and you will be surprised at the result. I hope that this helps you.

I also had a loan with them. I defaulted on my loan and never paid them anything back for like 7 months. They called and called, and finally I agreed to pay them back the amount of the loan ($250) and they gladly accepted b/c I refreshed their memory about PDL being prohibited in my state and let them know that I was going to file a complaint with my AG's office. They were very easy to work with after that.. LOL

Depends on your state's pdl laws, they are usually licensed in the states they loan to. So they can take you to civil court if you don't pay them back. Being arrested, may be a false threat. But that doesn't sound like CashNetUSA, they are usually easy to work with and follow the laws and I've not heard of them making this threat.

Not arrested. Is Cash Net licensed in your state?

I just got CashNetUSA paid off! But I agree, they were good to work with. I refused to talk with them over the phone though. We corresponded by e-mail because it set up a documented history of our conversations. They were very willing to accept my proposed payment plan. I'm glad that I finally got them paid off. Now I can concentrate on other debts. 1 more down ... a few more to go.
