I have several payday loans out and i am having trouble paying them all. I have many bills i just dont know what to do from this point. I have to pay these payday loans and my rent and other utilities please twll me what i can do to get out of debt.

First off, you need to pay your rent. You need a roof over your head most of all. Are these payday loans internet or storefront? Which companies are they with? Also, what state are you in? What was the amount borrowed on each loan, and how much (if any) have you paid back so far including interest and fees?

emelovesu - welcome to the forums!

Since you have registered with this site, a debt counselor will be contacting you within a few days (probably a day or so after Christmas) to discuss your options for debt consolidation or settlement.

It would be a good idea to obtain your credit reports from all three credit bureaus to have at hand when the debt counselor calls. This will give you a total picture of what you owe - write down all your payday loans and have your credit reports handy so you know everything you owe.

You can obtain your credit reports for free, once per year, by going to www.firstgov.gov, and going to the section marked "consumers", where you will find a link to the free credit report site. You will need to verify your personal information, such as old street addresses, etc., then you can print the reports out right away so you can review them.

Please keep posting, and if you have the information available on your payday loans, as mentioned above by dbaker, please post it so we can help you understand how to deal with these companies. You might not need to pay them any more if you've overpaid them already.

Most payday loan companies don't report to the credit bureaus. We come to know about them when they hit an unauthorized debit in the bank account or the file is sent to an outside collection agency.

As you are already having hard times paying your debts, the best thing for you will be to close your checking account and stop lenders from making a debit. You will have to pay the NSF fee to your bank on every hit by the lender. Get your account closed now otherwise the lender will drain you into the negative and your bank won't allow closing the account unless you have paid their fees. Check with your state laws before taking this step.
