Dear Sir,

I found you on the web and hope you can help me.
I found my Name and a case number, on the Ky. Court Records web site and found
I am being sued by: asset acceptance llc case
account number removed for your safety - SueBee.
I am disabled and I do not know what this case is about nor how to go
about taking care of it.
Any information would be a great help to me.

I am sorry you have obviously come to the wrong website. This is a community message board forum discussing debt and finances. However, there is lots of good information on this board and I believe some of it is in reference to the aforementioned Asset Acceptance. You can perform a search of the different postings here. Since you stated you found your name in a court record, can you please clarify what led you to search the court records for your name? Were you served papers about a court date on this debt, or what exactly led you to this?

asset acceptance llc is a debt recovery service.
I think they are trying to recover credit card debt from but I'm not sure as I can not find out anything from this company. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them?

You are correct - Asset Acceptance is a debt recovery service, but I don't think they deal solely in credit card debt. Their website says they purchase the following debts:

credit card issuers, consumer finance companies, retail merchants, telecommunications and other utility providers, as well as resellers and others.

I went to the Records site because I had closed my checking account and reopened with another Bank. There were severl checks that bounced becaused of this. I paid all of them and a friend suggested I check the Records site just to make sure. That's when I found this case. I have never received any papers on this or been served. The date on the case was 7-10-2006.

You will want to pull a copy of your credit report to see what is reflected there. This company should be listed there if they obtained a judgement against you. However, if they obtained a judgement against you, you should have received some sort of paperwork at some time.

You can obtain your free annual credit report from all three credit bureaus by going to https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp

Were you able to get all the returned checks cleared up? That could also cause you some problems - hopefully you were able to get those taken care of.
