You do NOT want to get wrapped up in pdl trap. Trust me and everyone else on this board. Some employers only go back 7-9 years on felonies. It usually states it on the job application. How much debt do you have? And have you considered going back to school?

Pull your latest copy from the credit bureau and know the status of your accounts. Call the creditors and work out payment arrangements with them. When the collectors call you, ask them to validate the account they are collecting for. You need to see the details in writing and confirm that their collections are legitimate. Without proper info in writing, you refuse to pay them anything. Send your request to validate the debt in writing. Doing this, you will cover your base legally. The ball will be in their court after receiving your letter.

Don't even consider one of these loans as a way to get out of your financial mess! It will only cause more heartache and headache than you already have.
Have you checked with your local social services office? They can advise you on where you can apply for jobs and services you may be eligible for.

Guest, keep checking on the job thing. There are employers who will hire and don't care, if you prove yourself to be a good worker. They may not be great paying jobs, but it beats getting nothing. Sometimes a probation or parole officer will give you some leads, or if your community has it, the community sentencing program can direct you. It's like Steelers said, you don't want to get in the loan trap, you will have more problems doing that. Good Luck..Karen

You cannot get most payday loans without a job, checking account and direct deposit, so I don't think you'll fall into that trap anytime soon. Sometimes it is hard to find fulltime jobs with a felony, but it can be done. A lot of landscaping and construction companies will give you a shot. Also, if you had a parole officer at one time, maybe you can call him. Perhaps he knows of jobs and training programs available for you. I know my ex-husband was able to get a job and computer training with the help of his parole officer.
