How do I get rid of these people? I paid them what I owed them (principal and LEGAL interest) which they agreed to verbally ( I couldn't ever get anything in writing). Now two weeks later this:

How do I get rid of these people from harassing me. They called my boss at work!

It's a generic letter. Speak to the person with whom you had a talk earlier about this loan account. Ask him to remove your name from their system.

This is not going to be done easily. GFSIL has been an all time pain to many here. You will have to get something in writing or your name removed from their system to end this problem.

That is perhaps the most ridiculous email I have ever read. Businesses that have ANY sense do not use phrases like "please don't stick your head in the sand".

How much do they claim you still owe? Show them the payment receipts (I assume the payoff was recent) and inform them that you are still waiting on your PIF statement and hopefully they will acknowledge that this email was sent to you in error.

I am sorry - these "people" are land sharks! They will not acknowledge anything! I have been dealing with them for over a month and all I get from them is they don't have to follow the laws in Ohio. I have overpaid them over $1000. and I have reported them to the ag's office the FTC, and the dof. I e-mail them every day - sometimes twice a day and the only thing that I got back from them was an e-mail offering me another loan at a reduced interest rate.

That may be true. It also may be true that your situation is different from mute805's and he/she may get a different result from his/her efforts. Did you pay them in full and have the same thing happen to you or, were you charged exorbitant fees and when you got tired of it, closed your account? The two situations may be handled differently; every situation is unique.

The truth is that there is no way for mute to know how this will turn out until he/she follows up and provides important documentation (receipts of PIF)that change the way this situation is handled.
