I checked my credit report which has no record of the debt AI claims to have. I use to have bad debt/credit about 10 years ago. I'm almost certain the SOL has expired.I want to send them a C&D letter as well as validating this debt that I supposedly owe. Does anyone have any ideas on how to write one?

I have not ever had to write a C&D letter, but others on here have and will no doubt post some helpful hints. I do have one word of advice-----I would send two different letters and not combine the SOL and C&D. Good Luck!

Make sure that you send it through certified mail and return receipt requested. You will have proof of them receiving your letter.
