actually a CA can most certainly do both a wage assignment AND can civily sue to get a writ of garnishment. Don't EVER fool yourself into thinking that they can't.
All you need to do to stop the assignment is type up a letter that says as of such and such a date you do not authorize any and all wage assignments. That's reallt all you need, doesn't need to be fancy. as of 1986 this is your right to revoke. If you have any garnishment or wage assignment questions, please pm me, I can help you sort it out.
