your account???? They keep adding it to mine.
I talked to a lady today and she insisted that
the only way I could pay them back was by
giving 3 post dated checks. I asked if there
was somewhere I could send a check each month.
She wouldn't even try to work out a payment
schedule with me. She just wanted me to pay
like $5000.00. If I had it, would I have this
problem???
So can they add interest to your debt?
Can they collect from another state? I live
in MN.

In regard to collecting from another state, that all depends on your state laws. Most states require a debt collector to be licensed to collect in your state.

The debt collector must be licensed in your state before doing the collection practice. Visit the attorney general website of your state http://www.ag.state.mn.us/consumer/ for more information about the business of this CA and the debt collection fees.
Your original contract with the credit company should mention about the collection fees. It should not be charged more than what your state allows. Every state has a fixed amount. Verify the charges with the AG.
