Dont sweat it when it comes to Bass & Associates. They are nothing more than a bunch of fdcpa violators. You need to file a complaint against them with the Florida AG. Don't send them a dime. They have used several different names when calling people.

Thank you for filling me in. I would hate to send them any of my money!! I am not even too worried about calling "her" back, it just turns into a big hassle!!

I have read in previous postings that when people have told them that they would have their attorney contact them and asked for a number to call back, they get hung up on.

I will have to remember that if they actually call me during business hours here at my office!! They always seem to leave a message in the evening!!

Angel - I have to second what Tammy said - definitely don't call these people back, don't have your attorney call them, don't send them money, and by all means, don't give them your bank account information. They will bleed you dry if they get it. If you look up the term "blood sucking leeches" in the dictionary, it will probably offer a picture of them.

File a complaint as they are being investigated in Florida. I had a call from of their affiliates last month and I am working on my complaints now. Also, send them a cease and desist letter via certified mail with return receipt. This way you will have proof that they received the letter. This way they should stop calling you.

And if they don't, you have the legal right to go after them! And you also have a paper trail showing your efforts, which is great.

I filed a complaint before on another company....how do you go about doing that again?

Angel I got a call Tuesday from Bass and Assoc. I spoke to a "Stan Morman". He said the same thing you went through with that woman. He refused to tell me anything other then I needed to have my attorney call him ASAP. He wouldnt give me anything in writing, he said he couldnt do that he only worked the front desk and he hung up on me. I suggest you file complaints with the Attorney General in FL also the BBB of and the FTC. I did. You dont need to be harrassed like that.

I received a call from a Mr Black at work today. Phone number 1 877 281-2220 ext 330. He left a voice mail telling me to have my attorney call him asap. I know this is a scam. Can anyone give me the address so I can report them to the FL AG. He called my number at work 4 times & then went through the operator & then the number came in as 661118869. He leaves messages & our calls are all recorded. I work for the state & I could lose my job. I called back once & told them to stop calling my work & he told me they will call me where ever, when ever & as often as they want. I have had enough of the phone calls. Can anyone help?
