Collectors for Sprint PCS

What do you do to find out who the creditor is when it is an automated caller? Should you continue to hold even if she isn't there?
Any further suggestion would be great! I actually told her to call sprint and make arrangements. What would she say to get them not to put a neg comment on her CR? How do you ask them to mark Paid in full after she finishes the payments? Do you think Sprint will settle for a lesser amount?
thanks
Unfortunately Sprint is infamous for terrible customer service.
Unfortunately Sprint is infamous for terrible customer service. Not because they are nasty or hard to deal with, but because it's next to impossible to get to talk to a live operator! My cell service is through them, the one time I had a serious problem they listened and helped me out...When I finally got through! Good luck, I think it'll work out fine for you.
  Me being a little adverse to calling any credit
  Me being a little adverse to calling any creditor,I tend to disagree with calling them for the following reasons:
1.As stated above, really hate talking to computers.
2.No legal proof of settlement or discharge etc.unless you are allowed to record calls in your area.
3. My opinion you talk to one rep make agreement next rep claims it never happened.
What I would do is send either a debt verification or validation letter to them.Letter depends on if they are using in house collector or third party. If in house then fdcpa does not apply but they still have to follow any state laws in your area as well as just having common decency when speaking to their customer. Good Luck!
trying to pay a sprint bill

I called the collection agency and the sent me back to sprint. i have been going back and forth BTW and the collection agency for the pass to years. why is it so hard for them to find my account? so that I can pay the shit and get it off my credit. who and where can I call to find out imformation on an old account?
What does your credit report say? Does it state that Sprint cha
What does your credit report say?
Does it state that Sprint charged this off?
Does it list the CA that's supposed to be collecting this?
Alternately, I suppose you could then try disputing this entry on your CR. If no one can verify you owe anything, it doesn't belong there.
