If you signed up for the free counseling session when you registered for this site, a consultant will be contacting you soon to offer debt consolidation or settlement plans. You are not obligated to use their services, however - you can continue working with your creditors on your own, or seek another debt counseling agency in your area.

It would be a good idea to pull a current copy of your credit report, if you haven't already done so. You can obtain a free copy of your report from all three reporting agencies at annualcreditreport.com. There is no charge or program to sign up for at that site. The reports are free, once per year, or any time you have been denied credit.
