Gfsil, are constantly contacting me on my job about a loan i offered to pay off. However, they will not provide an alternate way for me to pay the loan other than the bank account because it is still open. They are threatening me to contact my supervisor and to garnish my wages.

GFSIL will make an unauthorized debit in your bank account if it's left open. You have to close your account immediately and stop their withdrawal. They are an illegal business with many consumer complaints. You should report them to the DA????????s office, FTC and the BBB. Once you have closed your bank account, calculate the total payments done on this loan principal. You are required to pay them the principal amount only. They are not licensed anywhere, hence you are not required to pay their interest charges.

All they can do to collect on this debt is harrass you. Just stay strong, don't answer they phone, or pretend you are the supervisor. They will eventually stop.

As far as garnishing your wages, they can't. Send them out a wage assignment revokation letter asap. That may have been what they were refering to. Most pdl's put something in the contract saying to agree to let them assign your wages in case of default.

This is completly voluntary. All you have to do is send them a certified letter stating you revoke any and all wage assignments you may have signed. Then they cannot take money out of your paycheck without a court order, which they cannot get.
