Here is a settlement letter from Asset Acceptance(Citibank account). I would like to have your opinion to make sure that this settlement is for the full amount.
The letter only contain my account number but not the amount owned $3600.

Here it is :
Per our phone conversation on feb 26,2007, we came upon a settlement agreement of $1500 to settle the above mentioned account. Payment must be received by 02/28/2007 and upon clearance of the agreed funds; and youR written or verbal request, Asset Acceptance will send you a paid account letter. If the funds are not received by 02/25, this offer will be void.
“Clearance of the agreed funds”, they are not mentioning the amount that will be cleared?

Thank you for your opinion. I need to make a payment or not by tomorrow.

I'm confused :? You had the conversation on Feb 26, and then they say the funds must be received by Feb 28, and then they say the funds must be received by Feb 25. My question is, are they supposed to have the funds by the 25th or the 28th?

They are referring to, once the funds have been taken out of your bank account and and posted to your account with Asset Acceptance. If the funds are not available in your bank account, then the payment would be returned to Asset Acceptance for "insufficient funds," meaning they were not available in your bank account.
