I'm confused :? You had the conversation on Feb 26, and then they say the funds must be received by Feb 28, and then they say the funds must be received by Feb 25. My question is, are they supposed to have the funds by the 25th or the 28th?
Sounds to me like Asset Acceptance is trying to pull a fast one
Sounds to me like Asset Acceptance is trying to pull a fast one here. Looks like they will say have the money by the 28th, but they will claim void on the account because of the 25th date.

I do not like this company one bit. They've been calling me about an account that they claimed they sent a letter to me back in Nov. They read the address of where it was sent to, and I've never lived there

I wouldn't trust them no further than I could throw them. Have they sent any validation proving they actually owe the debt?
Before you send them a dime, send them a debt validation letter
Before you send them a dime, send them a debt validation letter certified mail with return receipt. This company is known to try to collect on debt they don't legally have.
Can I call Citibank and ask them who own the debt?

You stated you owed $3600.00 and they are willing to settle for 1/2. This account will not be paid in full, but settled for a lesser amount.

They are referring to, once the funds have been taken out of you
They are referring to, once the funds have been taken out of your bank account and and posted to your account with Asset Acceptance. If the funds are not available in your bank account, then the payment would be returned to Asset Acceptance for "insufficient funds," meaning they were not available in your bank account.
