I need help with settling with these companies. First, can someone review and let me know if I have over paid. Second, if so, is there a letter I can send to them? I live in Texas. I have talked to one Company about the fees and they revert back to the contract. Can I get some advice here soon. I have had enough. You do the math every 2 week. It it touch with one income. My husband has been out of work for 6 months. He has no clue I have done this.. He would have a cow. We have 2 kids. HELP!!

Company Name Fees Pd Bal + Fees % fees/pmt pd
Cash Net $398.00 $502.00 79.28%
Pay Day Select $113.00 $650.00 17.38%
PayDay OK $279.00 $650.00 42.92%
ameriloan $1,155.00$575.00 200.87%
United Cash $450.00 $650.00 69.23%
MTE $180.00 $390.00 46.15%
DMS $840.00 $520.00 161.54%
Astro Lending $180.00 $390.00 46.15%
Pay Day Yes $240.00 $520.00 46.15%
Total $3,835.00 $4,847.00

Let me make sure I understand this:

Company/Paid back/Borrowed Amount/Legal Total/New Amount Owed
Cash Net / $398.00 / $400 / $418 / $20
Pay Day Select / $113.00 / $500 / $520 / $407
PayDay OK / $279.00 / $500 / $520 / $241
ameriloan / $1,155.00 / $500 / $520 / Refund of $635
United Cash / $450.00 / $500 / $520 / $70
MTE / $180.00 / $300 / $316 / $136
DMS / $840.00 / $400 / $418 / Refund $422
Astro Lending / $180.00 / $300 / $316 / $136
Pay Day Yes / $240.00 / $400 / $418 / $178

These are my calculations . . . . I'm fairly certain they are correct, but will look into things more and get back to you for certain.

I don't advise people to use example letters. Putting things in your own words makes it look like you did research into the subject. You just need to write to each company telling them that according to YOUR STATE laws you only owe $XXX. Write in your state laws, and also copy the letter to your states attorney generals office. You also need to file complaints with them.

Nik, I did a search and at least came up with this:

Phone: 866-771-7784
Fax: 866-379-7667

Hang on and let me look a little bit more and see if I can get more information.

No luck. I tried google and I tried the phone number with the BBB. Nothing. They may be using a different name. Try calling the phone number I found. That might help. :D

I have 9 PDLs and I talked to Langhorne in PA today. I never thought about trying to settle with PDL lenders on my own. Is that going to work? I put a freeze on all of ACH today, and planning to close the account next week. I need to hurry up and start the process with Langhorne. Should I? Does anybody knows about this firm?
