Before i got married i was debt free, shortly after geting married my husband lost his job, during the four months of unemployement i had to support both of us. This is when bills and credit cards piled up.it seemed like evrytime we got a chance to get ahead, something would arise rather it be a medical bill(at the time) or car issues that needed to be fixed. We got more and more into debt, its been almost four years later and were now expecting our first child, we wanted a easy monthly payment, so we can save money and purchase a future home for our family and be debt free. Thank you,

kary

Kary, first of all, congratulations on your first child. Since you have registered, a debt counselor will be contacting you shortly and will go over the different options you have available to you and will help you decide which would be best suited to your needs. Good luck on taking care of your debt, and best wishes for your new baby.

Kary ~ I know how you feel about seeming to think you might be getting ahead and then something happens. Like taking 2 steps forward and 5 steps back, but hang in there. You will find a lot of help and informations and support on this forum. Also congratulations on expecting your first child, the greatest gift of all.

While you wait for the counselor's call, get all the latest statements of your debts and calculate your income and necessary expenses. The program will be tailored according to how much you will afford in repaying the accounts. Once you figure out the right plan according to your situation, enroll in the program and start paying the debts. It will be your positive move towards becoming debt free. All the best!
