I owe a lot of payday loans and yesterday i was told that they would be sending someone out to my job to pick me up for the loans and i would be charged with a misdameanor for fraud using an email an several other thing i can't remember all that was said but the ones loans they where talking about was from FSM and he failed to give me the name of the other company What can i do I need some help fast he want's me to come up with 1520.00 by monday there is noway.

OH MY GOD! I am sick and tired of payday loan companies coming up with stuff such as this to scare you into paying for the freaking loans. It is ridiculous!

First of all, if a creditor shows up to your job to collect on a debt, then you can call the cops and plead harassment. They cannot charge you with a misdeamor for not paying a payday loan. They have to take you to court and file a lawsuit. They have to turn your check (if storefront) to the DA's office and collect for payment but they cannot charge you with a misdeamnor.

I am not mad with you. I am mad with these companies and their methods of madness. Contact your AG's office and turn these idiots up. It ticks me off that they are doing this to people. That makes me mad at the way they are doing people.

I remember when I had to pay off Ten Dollar Payday Loan and the law office of Norman Kaline called me talking about they were going to file charges against me because I owed a debt. I laughed in their faces once I read on this website the silliness that they will pull to get you to pay a debt. I was in fear until I found out what my rights were.

It amazes me that these crooks would use such tactics to do this to people. I wish Dateline NBC would come up with a show "To Catch A Debt Collector" and see if they are as honest as they want the consumers to be.

Wouldn't that be a great show?

So I just received a call from a gentlemen who said he was from United Processing Center. Ph #732-203-7708. He stated that if I did not come up with $1,020.00 by 1pm today that he would be sending someone to my place of employment to arrest me. Obviously I was in shock and upset especially since I'm 6 months pregnant. I called the Dept of Banking in my state of CT and they advised me that they cannot arrest me and if their interest rates were over 12% then they cannot even collect or take legal action because it illegal in the state of CT to even charge higher than that. I do remember that their rates were almost 200%. I do not planning on calling this gentlement back since both loans were for $200.00 and I have paid well over that amount for each previously. I just want to know if anyone else has had this problem and whether or not anyone actually showed up to your home to "arrest you"?

Sswett - I tried calling again and being more general about my question. I was told again that they lady was on vacation until next week. Maybe bdziadul has a different phone number?? I'm calling the one off their website, but I'm sure there are others. I don't have a phone book or anything since I live on the other coast, so maybe you can find some other numbers for them and try that . . . . . Obviously there is someone there that can answer questions!

Bdziadul - Most of us here have been threatened with that, and we are all still here to talk about it! No one has ever been arrested like they say. It really is all lies . . . .

Sorry I didn't get back to you in time. Had trouble using this system for some reason. I called the number listed on their website 860-240-8299 and was transfered to a gentlemen by the name of Mr. Buchas. I left him a voice message regarding my situation and he got back to me right away. He was very helpful and told me right away to file a complaint against these people who harrassed me because what they are doing is illegal in the state of CT. You both should file complaints too. I called this company back that was harrassing me to get their address and name but they refused to give it to me. I told them how I spoke to someone from the Dept of Banking and told them what they were doing was illegal and I would be contacting my attorney about this. They haven't called me back since so who knows if they ever will but I have to some how get their information to file a complaint. It seems like they have maybe three different phone numbers for the same place there and the min you get on the phone with them and try and get their information they won't answer you and are trying to get your information. Seems very odd so I definently believe Mr. Buchas that what they are doing is illegal. They cannot pursue it legally or even collect in the state of CT so I doubt they will be able to ruin your credit at all. Let me know how it turns out with you all.

Beth ~ don't let them scare you. They will use or say anything to intimidate you and try to get you to pay more than you already have. I have been told that if I didn't pay or call by a certain time there would be an "or else" and of course, the or else did not happen. Once you arm yourself with the knowledge of their tatics, you can be better prepared to deal with them. They are just a bunch of hot air!

I had andrew flintoff call me friday and state that I would have someone arrest me within the next few minutes. This was a 8:45am, then he called at 12:07 and stated that I would feel the legal process and good luck...I wish I could see his face when I asked to talk to his supervisor and repeated who do I owe and how much do I owe...is this arrestable?

No Steve, that is an illegal threat which was made to you. You will NOT be arrested. Have some fun with this a$$hole. Tell him you just notified your parole officer of the situation and the parole officer and local police have just arrived to arrest you for your parole violation. This is an illegal threat, and nothing is going to happen to you. Ask him what exactly does the "legal process" feel like! And tell him that you think the two of you share the same parole officer!

I had a lady call em on my job and she said she was from Hartman and Associates. She said I had teo hours or I would be arrested by the local olice dept. I called the police department and was told if they had to ride around and arrest people about loans they would have a house full all the time. He sid the most they can actually do is possibly file a civil complaint and maybe get a judgment that way. I am going to file a complaint as well...I was scared as hell at 1st though until I called my daughter, a criminal justice student, and she gave me the link to your site and some information she learned from school.

You can't be arrested for owing a debt. Please start a new topic of your own and provide the following information so we can help you.
-Names of each pdl company.
-Whether they are store front or Internet.
-How much you borrowed.
-How much you paid so far.
-The state in which you reside.

Drug Comedies Tv Prescription Medication Ingredients There is some indication that taking antidepressants with Nolvadex can decrease the effectiveness of this drug. Nolvadex is cheap, costing less than $20 each month, and its generic status really plummets down low on the price point so that everyone can afford it who has breast cancer and whose doctor thinks it???s recommended. buy nolvadex Nolvadex is cheap, costing less than $20 each month, and its generic status really plummets down low on the price point so that everyone can afford it who has breast cancer and whose doctor thinks it???s recommended. Because the side effects profile matches up so closely with the benefits profile, some doctors advise against taking it because it has so many horrible side effects compared to its positive side effects. This drug had great effectiveness against advanced breast cancer more than 40 years ago, and since then its popularity has only taken off further.
