I am so sorry to hear about your marriage not working. Are you legally divorced from your husband? You can ask your attorney to prepare a divorce decree and separate your share of responsibility from your ex-husband's. He should be held responsible to pay his part.

No, In this state you have to be sepatated for a year before you can file for a divorce. He is a verry moody person. One day he says he'll pay for them and the next day he'll change his mind. Its very trying waiting around to see of he will or won't pay for them. I would like to get this resolved before our year is up. I know I'm the fool...but I don't feel as if they are my burden as I didn't charge them up.

You have to talk to him and make him realize that he is responsible for the bills. Another option is you can speak with a consolidation company and get a lower repayment plan from your creditors. While you are paying, show the statements to your husband so that he pays you back.

I few weeks ago I looked into debt consolidation and was contacted by USA Debt. After researching for an hour on them I knew exactly what to ask them when they called. I didn't like what they were offering so I didn't commit. I do need to consolidate...and I want to be proactive in this instead of just letting everything go. At the same time, is he not legally responsible for these as well? even if his name was not on the accounts? (note: he is not very responsible...which is one of many reasons why we are seperated)
He is not legally responsible for the bills charged in your name
He is not legally responsible for the bills charged in your name but you can mutually resolve this matter with your husband through an attorney. Once his share is mentioned in the divorce decree after a year, he will be held responsible legally.
