I am trapped in pdl, and I am going to close the current bank account where they the payments are coming out of. Is this a good idea? I have paid back the interest and the amount of the loan.

go to paydayloaninfo.org and get your state laws. No they are not going to prosecute you. You need to file complaints with your AG against these companies. They are loan sharking you! I have been there. I highly recommend closing your account and opening an ew one to gain financial control again. Then you need to send them letters revoking their right to debit your account and revoking any voluntary wage assignment you may have signed. They will threaten you with all kinds of things but non of them are true.

I don't understand how I can get a loan from them, if they are illegal in my state. Doesn't that mean that I broke the law then, too? Also, I am trying to work with CashCentral and they say because they are licesened in my state they can't break up my payments to make it more manageable for me.
Also, what happens if I just don't pay these loans?
